In order to connect Flexor Manager to your phone through an Asterisk PBX, you will need to provide Flexor Manager with the details of the Asterisk server your organisation uses. Flexor Manager will then search the server and show you a list of available extensions, from which you can select the one that your phone uses. Alternatively, you can specify the number of the extension of your phone directly, which is often easier if there are a large number of people in your organisation.
To start the process of adding your phone to Flexor Manager, open the Devices and Applications window by double-clicking on the Flexor tray icon. Then right-click on the Devices section and select New->Flexor Connect for Asterisk from the menu.
Starting to add an Asterisk-connected phone to Flexor Manager
If Flexor Manager already has details of an Asterisk server available to it, typically because an Asterisk-connected phone has previoulsy been added, the Scan Window will open (see Scanning for Asterisk extensions).
Otherwise, Flexor Manager will inform you that no servers have been configured, and prompt you to add one (see Adding Asterisk servers).
